BatScan System:
 Two applications are described in detail in the Product pages of this website.  They correspond to the ends of a spectrum of potential applications. 

The aerospace application provides a detailed map of the noise generation associated with a jet engine,  noise generation at each each point in the monitored volume is measured. 

The process plant operation externally monitors the internal volume of a large vessel, and indicate only when an internal defect exceeds a threshold intensity.  This application provides both the actual intensity and its location within the volume.  Both applications have integral modeling of the system being monitored to allow "what if" and design analyses.

Key Benefits and Features

• NON-INTRUSIVE,  system monitors the internal noise field in an enclosure using either externally or internally mounted noise detector elements (accelerometers or microphones).

• HIGH-SPEED, fraction of a second to map a reverberant  enclosure, measuring absolute intensity at each node, (node size ~1 cm.).

• RELIABLE, detection at very low false alarm rate (less than one false alarm in thirty years).

• SENSITIVE, locate or detect individual noise sources totally masked by background noise (S/N ratios down to at least minus 25 dB )*
